How Play Phonics works
There are two ways of enjoying our phonics drama adventures:
1. Weekly workshops in your school or nursery setting
2. Online, on demand adventures. To find out about our online videos click HERE.
Once a week Sammy Sounds visits your school to take pupils on an exciting adventure. Sammy Sounds is from Phonics Land and is friends with all of the sounds. The problem is she has lost all of her sound friends and needs the children’s help to find them.
Over a course of weekly sessions, a talented actor-teacher will visit your school and as the character 'Sammy Sounds', will introduce 2 - 3 sounds each session. Through drama and interactive fun children will be given the tools to blend, segment and decode words.
Play Phonics is a supplementary resource, to be used in conjunction with any other systematic synthetic phonics teaching resource.
